The Potato Hotbox – 750 Tubers helps reveal bruising and damage in potato samples after harvesting and handling.
The unit creates warm and humid conditions that encourage bruises to develop more quickly. This makes damage easier to see and assess.
For bruise testing, the Hotbox typically conditions potatoes at around 30°C and 93% relative humidity for 12–24 hours. The controlled environment helps growers, processors and quality teams identify handling problems before they affect more of the crop.
The 750 tuber model provides a large testing capacity. This makes it ideal for high-volume quality control work, larger samples and commercial potato handling operations.
Regular testing can help identify damage caused by harvesters, graders and other handling equipment. You can then make changes to reduce bruising and protect crop quality.
