The Zeal D4501 Potato Hydrometer makes it easy to check potato dry matter quickly and reliably.
Add a known weight of potatoes to the basket and lower it into water. The hydrometer scale then gives a direct indication of dry matter content.
The D4501 measures a dry matter range of 14–23%. It provides a practical solution for regular potato quality checks.
Monitoring dry matter can help growers and processors assess crop quality. It can also help when making harvesting, storage and processing decisions.
The hydrometer uses a simple mechanical design and requires no batteries. This makes it ideal for routine testing on farms and in potato stores.
