GRANTS APPLICABLE TO MARTIN LISHMAN PRODUCTS

If you’re interested in grant funding for new equipment, the first step is identifying the scheme that applies to your location. In England this is the FETF, in Scotland the FFIS, and in Wales the Small Grants Scheme – Efficiency.

England – Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF)

The fund includes three grants to help you buy equipment or technology to; improve productivity, manage slurry and improve animal health and welfare.

The window for applications for 2026 opens on the 17th March 2026 and will close at midday on 28th April 2026.

Percentage’s of payments are based on the expected average cost of the item, not the invoiced cost.

*N.B. FETF 2026 is administered by the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) on behalf of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra). All decisions on application approvals are made by the RPA. FETF 2026 grants are only available in England. Full details.

Barn Owl Wireless is eligible for FETF117

Eligible Item: Barn Owl Wireless - FETF117

Meets grant requirements:
- Be a crop storage sensor system
- A system control unit able to send information to mobile phone, tablet or computer
- An alert function when temperature or humidity fall outside the permitted range
- Sensor to measure internal store temperature
- Sensor to measure external temperature
- 2 sensors to measure CO2 levels
- Sensor to measure internal store humidity
- Sensor to measure external humidity

Percentage paid towards item: 50%

Eligible Item: Soil Health Bundle - FETF214

Meets grant requirements:
The package must include 3 items: - Portable soil pH meter capable of giving real-time pH and conductivity measurements of the soil
- Penetrometer to measure the resistance of the soil soil moisture meter

The pH meter must be able to measure:
- pH from 3 to 12 with a resolution accuracy of ±0.1 pH
- Temperature between 0°C and 60°C with an accuracy of ±0.5 °C
- Electric conductivity of the soil between 0 microsiemens per cm and 6,000 microsiemens per cm with an accuracy of ±2%

The soil moisture meter be able to measure:
- Soil moisture between 0% and 50% at depths of up to 200mm with a resolution of 0.1%

The penetrometer must:
- Be able to measure between 0 and 400 psi or equivalent megapascals
- Have a probe with a graduated depth scale
- Have 2 probe tips, one for firm soil and one for loose soil

Percentage paid towards item: 60%

Eligible Item: SockVent Ventilation System - FETF 105SH / 105PI / 105CA

Meets grant requirements:
- Be a positive pressure tube ventilation (PPTV) system designed for use inside livestock buildings
- Have a wall mounted, single-speed fan to draw fresh air into the building
- Have a multi-position control unit, on/off/auto, with the automatic position capable of integrating with a climate control system
- Have a horizontal inflatable ventilation tube made of material such as plastic-coated polyester that stretches the internal length of the building
- Have holes cut in the ventilation tube to direct air flow where needed

Grant amount (based on a quantity of 1): £906

Eligible Item: Chimney ventilation unit - FETF105PI

Meets grant requirements:
- Be a roof-mounted chimney exhaust unit for ventilation in livestock buildings
- Have a ventilation chimney and a chimney mounted extraction fan – chimney and fan can be bought as separate units or a single integrated unit
- Have a multi-position control unit, on/off/auto, with the automatic position capable of integrating with a climate control system for each fan
- Be able to integrate with a new or existing climate or housing management system

- Building length ridge vents are not eligible.
- Installation costs are not eligible.

Grant amount (based on a quantity of 1): £634

Wales – Small Grants Scheme – Efficiency

The Small Grants Scheme has now closed for applications. If you were unable to apply this time, further funding rounds may be announced in the future. We recommend keeping an eye on future updates, and in the meantime you can still explore our range of equipment or speak with our team for advice on suitable solutions.

Wales – Small Grants Scheme – Efficiency

Grants are now live for the 2026 ‘Wales – Small Grants Scheme – Efficiency’. Applications are open from the 12th January 2026to the 27th February 2026.

If your application is approved, you will have 180 calendar days of the date of the contract offer to purchase and claim for all the items in your contract. 

The grant will be a maximum 40% contribution against actual invoiced costs up to the maximum referenced costs as stated within Annex A.

Meets grant requirements:
Portable grain moisture meter with integrated grain grinder.

Investment Item: Hay and Straw Moisture Meter
Eligible Item: Balemaster

Meets grant requirements:
Portable moisture meter for measurement of water content in hay and straw bales.
To include a probe / spear.

Investment Item: Grain Pedestal & Spears
Eligible Item: Pile-Dry Pedestals / Trouble-Dry Spears

Meets grant requirements:
Grain drying pedestal or spear with:
Plastic or metal construction.
Includes pedestal fan for air extraction.
